Once again the FINTASTIC has been chosen by the Wicked Tuna T V show to be the chase boat and film all the players for the 2016 show. Filming has already begun and fishing for the giant blue fins has had plenty of action. One of our filming expeditions this year was to capture the boats on film as they came through the bridge at Oregon Inlet in the early morning hours. This is treacherous for the boats in the show as well as our boat. The tide was running exceptionally hard and trying to keep my boat out of the bridge and stay in position for filming in the pitch black dark was a challenge, but we got it done!
Off-shore it looks like it is going to be an exciting season for the boats in the show. Good numbers of fish are showing daily and competition is getting fierce. Drama city! Stay tuned for updates.
Bookings for the 2016 fishing season are ahead of last years numbers. May and June are filling fast. June is almost booked and May is more than half booked. All of you guys looking for the big dolphin and tuna need to get your dates soon before they are all gone.
